B. Elizabeth Atkinson
With little knowledge or training in spiritual practice, Elizabeth Atkinson writes how light spontaneously infused her body, what she calls a spontaneous awakening of light (SAL) and others may think of as kundalini. Soon after the SAL, various phenomena occurred. A year into it, a personal path showed itself in her intuitive essays-- essays that also came to her spontaneously. Each essay calmed a disparity of thought deep in her psyche. Elizabeth also asks the question about how this phenomena occurs in the body; she suggests there is a biology of spirit yet to be discovered.
"I created this book to share my writings with anyone who might resonate with my experience and be confirmed or inspired." Here is an excerpt:
"The earth was initiating me into the full flowering of my life. As I stood, it came with the force of a firehose, up through my feet. My eyes were closed and when the question formed in my silent mind, “What is this?” the answer followed clearly in one word: 'Light.'
"This wave-like force had an electrical quality as it circulated my limbs, torso and head again and again in milliseconds; it came with a heat that caused me to immediately break out into beading sweat. Woozy and concerned about falling, I sat down as these energy waves pulled me into their sway.
"Time passed and when the Light subsided, I grabbed a huge jug of water and gulped it down in one sitting. I was drenched in sweat, unclear about my experience. When it happened again, hours later during another still time, it claimed me. It seemed to have set off some kind of chain reaction within my body, an evolutionary biology in play, and put me on a course I could not have imagined. Thus, began my rebirth into wonder."
